The Era of Smartphones

When our friend's fall we laugh but when our mobile falls, we say "oh my god! my mobile". Mobile has become an obsession for people nowadays, the first thing we check before we wake up and last thing we do before we go to sleep, sadly the day Einstein feared has arrived.

As per recent survey an average person spends around four hours a day on mobile phones.Social Media, the most interactive platform on mobile phones has created more than just the pressure of sharing things with others, it is also about how you may be comparing your life with others. People have become so obsessed with others life, spending so much time trying to be somebody else, they have forgotten who they are. Researchers have linked increased social media usage to depression, anxiety, loneliness, sleep problems, eating concerns and suicide risk.

Furthermore we are being brainwashed day by day with Social Media. From influencers to curated advertisements, they have a huge influence in our day to day lives. Our decisions are no longer ours, they are influenced and fabricated.

Mobile phones make you closer to the person far from you but it takes you away from the ones sitting next to you. Despite being as small as a palm of our hands, it is amazing how it can control our entire  day.Sometimes i wonder how different our lives would be if technology would fall and we would and we would have to go  back to a world without mobile phones and social media, but i guess a world without it would just be limited to my imagination.
